The ancient theatre of Philippi is an important and remarkable monument. It is located at the feet of the acropolis and it is supported on the eastern wall of the city of Philippi. Eventhough it has sustained many changes throughout the centuries and some interventions so that it can host the Philippi Festival, it still preserves many of its original elements.

Opposite the ancient theatre of Philippi there are the ruins of the ancient city. The ancient city took its name in 356 b.c. after the father of Alexander the Great, Philippos the II.

It was built in 1720 and it is preserved in very good condition. The grounds on which the house is built, is property of the Egyptian Government. Apart from the house there is also a large garden. Until a few months ago it was a museum. It currently operates as a bar-restaurant.

Spring is on its way. The sun will be shining, the temperature will be rising and the birds will be singing.

We always feel a little better and more positive at this time of the year.

The powers to be advise that Spring is the selling time and is the time to get your property sold while the weather is great, gardens look fabulous and people are generally in a very upbeat state of mind.

So what’s the next step?

You need to know what your end goal is.

Kavala has many beaches of unparalled beauty. They spread one after the other along the prefecture, creating a beautiful landscape of blue and satisfy all tastes, from cosmopolitan tourists to the more lone ones.

On the east side of the prefecture there is the beach of Keramoti and entering the city from the east we can find Perigiali. At the centre of Kavala there is the beach of Rapsani and on the west Kalamitsa, Batis, Tosca and Palio. On the west side of the prefecture there are even more beaches, one more beautiful than the other, such as Nea Iraklitsa, Nea Peramos, Ammolofi, Almira, Sarakina, the beach of Kariani, the beach of Ofrynio and many other small bays.

Beside their beauty, the beaches of Kavala also stand out for their cleaningness. Many of them have been awarded a “blue flag” such as the beach of Ammoglossa in Keramoti, Perigiali beach, Rapsani, Kalamitsa, Batis, Tosca, Sarakina and a part of Ammolofoi and Nea Iraklitsa.
